Mount Abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan. It is located 475 km from Jaipur on the peak of Aravali range and is known for its Dilwara Jain temples. With flowering shrubs and coniferous trees, the climate is mostly cool here. There are almost 37 tourist places that are usually explored by the tourists. To cover all the Mount Abu sightseeing places, visitors have to stay for 2 to 3 days.

1. Dilwara temple
This is a group of five temples. These temples were constructed between 11th to 13th century. They are built with marbles and are situated at a distance of two and a half km from Mount Abu. This scared pilgrimage place is devoted to Jain Tirthankaras.
The temples are named as Luna Vasahi, Vimal Vasahi, Khartar Vasahi, Pithalhar and Mahavir Swami.
2. Nakki Lake
This lake is perfect for visiting in winter as it will give you a calm and cool atmosphere. This is considered as an ideal location as it is situated in the backdrop of Aravali Mountains. One of the attraction points is that it is the only artificial lake in India and is situated at a height of 1,200 meters. According to the historian, this lake was carved out of rocks.
The added advantage of this place is rock climbing and boating activities. This lake is situated near the Toad rock, Shri Raghunathji Temple and the Maharaja Jaipur Palace. You can also witness Sunset Point from here.
3. Guru Shikhar
This is the highest mountain peak at around 1,722m above the sea level. Tourist can get the aerial view and enjoy trekking here. An ancient Guru Dattatreya Temple is also found at the peak that has an idol of Guru Dattatreya, who was an incarnation of Lord Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu.
A giant bell is hanging at the entrance of the temple. Some of the other temples found at the mountain peak are Shiva Temple, Chamundi Temple and Mira Temple. The mountain peak is situated at a distance of 15km. If you are interested in the laboratory, then you can even visit the Mount Abu Observatory operated by Physical Research Laboratory.
4. Sunset Point
One of the most famous points is Sunset Point. This lies towards the southwest of the Nakki Lake, It has dense forest as Aravali range lies behind it. The place is famous for the beautiful view of the mountain valley. One of the advantages of visiting this place in winter is that it has very low temperature due to its location. Undoubtedly, this advantage is only for the people who love winters. This is the must-go place for honeymoon travelers as honeymoon point is located very close to this. The Sunset point is also known for its souvenir shops and food stalls.
